Privacy policy
Short version: the files you process never leave your device. We do not receive them, store them, or see them. We do not ask you to create an account.
Files you process
All metadata inspection and removal happens locally in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are read into your browser's memory, modified there, and offered back to you as a download. At no point are they transmitted to this site or to any third party.
We therefore do not store your files, cannot access them, and have nothing to hand over if asked. Files are discarded from browser memory when you close or reload the page.
You can verify this: open your browser's developer tools, select the Network tab, and process a file — no upload request will appear. You can also disconnect from the internet after the page loads; the tools continue to work.
Information collected automatically
The site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like any web host, it processes standard request information such as IP address, browser type and requested URL, in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this to identify individuals.
Analytics
If privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics are enabled, they record aggregate page views and referral sources only, with no cross-site tracking and no personal profiles. [Edit or remove this section to match what you actually deploy.]
Advertising
This site displays advertising to cover its costs. Advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
Advertising partners never receive your files, because your files are never transmitted anywhere.
Cookies
The tools themselves do not require cookies and do not set any for their own functionality. Cookies present on the site come from advertising or analytics providers as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools will continue to work.
Third-party code
The PDF tool loads the open-source pdf-lib library from a public content delivery network. Your browser therefore makes a request to that CDN to fetch the library file. The request contains no information about your document — only a request for the script itself.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the tools, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have contacted us by email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
